For several years, Karine Bonneval focuses her research on the paradoxical relationships we have with the living. Through the notions of territory, exotism, exploration, hybridization, raw materials, she questions our relationship with nature that man has tamed without always realize that he is an integral part of this all that he dominates.
With sculpture, video, installation, she attempts to show this necessary otherness between the human and other living beings, including plants. With poetry but also malice, combining the natural and the artificial, the artisanal and the industrial, she raises the question of adaptation, dialogue with an environment consisting of our privileged interlocutors.
